Venezia!

We left Florence in the morning and took the Eurostar to Venice, just under 3 hours train ride.

Our Eurostar train pulling into the station at Florence
Crossing from mainland to Venice
Vaporetto tied to the stop to allow passengers to get on and off, the operators do it so quickly at every stop.
Canal polizia
Looking for our hotel, map and suitcases in hand. There are no cars, hence no taxis, so when the Vaporetto drops you off at your stop, you're on your own to find your way through narrow streets, alleyways and piazzas.
A bunch of brazen sparrows looking to get handouts from our pizza lunch.
Typical Venetian canal scene
Gondola parking
Worn and over-the-top!
The Rialto Bridge
The Grand Canal from the Rialto Bridge
Glass strands used in glass jewelery
Glass beads hanging in a window
Incredible, cute glass fish in glass bowl, each was approximately 1" high.
Fresh fish display from the restaurant where we had dinner (Trattoria alla Madonna).
