We've arrived

We arrived safely. All flights were on time. We're exhausted though, it's about 9:45pm in Florence now and we're heading to bed to try to normalize ourselves to the time here and beat the jet lag.

We treated ourselves to the KLM Crown Lounge at Pearson, a nice change from the busy, loud, uncomfortable waiting rooms.

First glimpse of the Tuscan countryside

Ponte Vecchio

Graffiti on the Ponte Vecchio

Cool reflection of the Arno River

'Legs' on the street lights on the banks of the Arno River

Random Madonna & Child in one of the walls of the Boboli Gardens (I'm sure there's a story here, I have to look this up).

Statues and sculptures are on many street corners.

Vespas and similar

Piazzale Michelangiolo from the Ponte Vecchio. We hope to make it up there in a couple of days. The view is supposed to be amazing from there.

Great pictures, Karen! I could only wish to take pictures half as good as these. Can't wait to explore Europe next year. Thanks!
